Many users are not sure how to choose between a ball mill and a high-pressure roller mill when purchasing a mill. These two mills have their own different characteristics. Generally speaking, ball mills are suitable for ore dressing, building materials and other industries, while high pressure roller mills are more widely used. It is suitable for mining, building materials, chemical, metallurgical and other industries. Of course, according to the user to grind different materials and finished products According to the different requirements of different degrees, it is necessary to select economical and suitable equipment in a targeted manner.

Let's first take a look at the working principles of the two mills:

According to different discharge methods, ball mills can be divided into two types: grid type and overflow type. There are two types of grinding methods: dry and wet. When the machine is working, the material is evenly spiraled into the first chamber of the mill through the feeding hollow shaft from the feeding device. The chamber is equipped with a step liner or a corrugated liner, which contains steel balls of different specifications. The cylinder rotates to generate centrifugal force to remove the steel balls. After being brought to a certain height and falling, it will hit and grind the material; after the material reaches the rough grinding in the first warehouse, it enters the second warehouse through the single-layer partition board. Grinding: The powdery materials are discharged through the discharge grate to complete the grinding operation.

When the high-pressure roller mill is working, under the action of high-pressure spring and centrifugal force, the grinding roller rolls in close contact with the grinding ring. Its rolling pressure is 1.2 times higher than that of the Raymond mill under the same conditions, and the output can be increased by 20%-30 %; When the grinding roller and grinding ring reach a certain degree of wear, adjust the length of the high-pressure spring to maintain a constant grinding pressure between the grinding roller and the grinding ring, so as to ensure stable output and fineness.

Through the above working principle, we can know that the fineness of the high-pressure roller mill is easier to control, and the mill can be adjusted according to different requirements and different fineness. In addition, the high-pressure roller mill occupies only 50% to 70% of the space of the ball mill, and the physical space occupied is relatively smaller. Because the vertical grinding method is reasonable, the grinding work is fully utilized by the material, and the classification is timely, which avoids the phenomenon of material over-grinding, so its grinding efficiency is high, and the power consumption is lower (more than 20% electricity saving than ball mills) , And the initial purchase cost is low. The initial construction cost, operating cost and maintenance cost of the vertical mill are only 70% to 80% of the ball mill equipment.

Of course, each mill has different functions in different places. According to different materials and different discharge requirements, the equipment selected is different.
