Natural gypsum is non-toxic, harmless and non-corrosive to the human body. It is usually crushed and ground into gypsum powder, which is widely used in various industries.

1. As a cement retarder: Gypsum powder is an indispensable additive in the concrete industry, and is often used as a Portland cement retarder to be added to building concrete.


2. Used for building decoration: The putty powder used for building decoration is used for building walls, pointing and leveling walls. The main component is gypsum powder. Some colored gypsum powder can also play a decorative role, and the cost is very low.


3. Production of gypsum building materials: such as fiber gypsum board, plastering gypsum, plaster of Paris, gypsum mortar, gypsum partition board, gypsum board, plastering gypsum, building standard bricks, etc.


Introduction of main equipment for gypsum grinding

Gypsum powder is a powder formed by a series of processing of large pieces of gypsum. The particle size of the finished product is usually about 80-325 mesh. From the whole production process of gypsum grinding, the equipment that needs to be used mainly includes jaw crusher, Raymond mill, etc.


Jaw crusher: also known as jaw crusher, referred to as jaw crusher. It is mainly responsible for the coarse crushing of gypsum. It adopts the working principle of extrusion and crushing. The crushing cavity is deep and there is no dead zone, which improves the feeding capacity and output. The hourly production capacity can reach 2200 tons; To lay the foundation for the treatment, there is a gasket-type discharge port adjustment device to adjust the discharge particle size.

Detailed explanation of gypsum grinding process

Step 1: Big boulders become small boulders

Large pieces of gypsum raw materials should be crushed by jaw crusher first, and crushed to the fineness of the mill.


Step 2: Small stone alexandrite powder

The gypsum that meets the requirements of grinding fineness is sent to the gypsum particle silo by the elevator, and then continuously and evenly fed by the vibrating feeder into the grinding chamber of the Raymond mill for grinding.



Step 3: Grading of stone powder

The pulverized gypsum powder is graded by the powder separator, and the unqualified gypsum powder will be sent back to the Raymond mill for secondary grinding.


Step 4: Stone powder calcination

The gypsum raw powder with the required fineness will be sent to the boiling furnace for calcination, and the gypsum powder after calcination can be sent to the storage bin to complete the gypsum grinding operation.
